Suna is a very straightforward thinker when it comes to her outlook on life. Her mantra is that 'in every outcome it is clearly black and white, there is the winner and there is the loser, the strong and the weak, and I don't plan on losing.' She is a boastful and egotistical person, relying greatly on physical strength. She is not one to refuse a challenge, and is quick to challenge others. They relish at fighting and testing their meddle against others, especially those who use Taijutsu, though beating an opponent focused on Ninjutsu satisfies them greatly as well, furthering their belief that Taijutsu is the strongest type of Jutsu.

The Eight Gates are eight specific points on a person's Chakra Pathway System. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By undergoing intense training, one can learn how to open these gates allowing the user to surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own body.

Similar to the Bunshin no Jutsu , this jutsu creates clones of the user. But unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.
Unlike other clone techniques, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person.

This displacement technique is a specialty of the Ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the Doujutsu.

This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it. Despite the fact that the prison is made up entirely out of water, it is stronger than steel. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Even so, the target is still able to speak.

While some may see it as "Superhuman Strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate and minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

The principle of this taijutsu is to rapidly increase the body's abilities by opening up to and including the sixth of the Eight Gates, and then to strike the enemy down with countless punches. The technique is started by kicking the enemy into the air, which for most would be an instant kill. The user then jumps into the air in a distinctive stance and begins punching the enemy repeatedly. The speed of the punches is so fast that they are set ablaze by sheer speed and friction. This creates a peacock-like fan of flaming chakra around the opponent. Once the attack is finished, the enemy will be sent crashing back to the ground, covered with the attack's aura.

Suna was raised in a small village outside of Hyoudengakure that relied on its small pier and occasional fish export. The people here were simple and peaceful, with many being farmers and retired shinobi. However, once chaos and disorder began to spread throughout Hyoudengakure and the surrounding area, the peaceful nature of Suna's home was replaced with fear. Gangs would frequently preform hostile take overs on her small village, taking what small trade and wealth they had, and there was nothing they could do about it. And the attacks got more violent as they increased. One day, a much more sadistic and cruel gang attacked.
This gang was entering homes, beating men to near death at least, and the same to any women or children that had any unwelcome expression on their face. This gang had this same viciousness towards Suna and her family, unfortunately her father and mother were stubborn fools, weak but strong in spirit. Suna had always thought of the weak never giving up as their true strength, however in hindsight she feels as though that is what adults tell children to keep them happy. Her parents were dragged to death by horses, and Suna was forced to watch.
However, the dead and defeated expression on her face did not anger the cruel leader, instead it bored him. After a hard beating, Suna was kicked into the woods with the leader yelling at her to come back and kill him, if she wasn't weak. She was not going to be weak. She immediately stumbled to Hyoudengakure where she passed out and was admitted to a hospital, afterward she was placed into an orphanage.
For the 3 years she spent here, she rarely talked to anyone at all, she had no friends and spent all of her time training. She knew nothing about ninjutsu or chakra, so she opted for taijutsu, which she was proficient in by the age of 13. In fact, it was on her 13th birthday that she broke into Hyoudengakure's Mizukages residence for her first steps on her path to strength. It was an extremely dangerous infiltration mission that she succeeded in due to much planning, her stealth skills, and taijutsu. She left that night with a random scroll, as she did not know what any of the jutsu scrolls contained and could only take on.
She began training and studying this scroll, which happened to be a jutsu list of body specific techniques. Training with this new advanced guidance bolstered her skills as she began to master all well-known and available Taijutsu, Kyuuken Ryuu, Hydrification and Hachimon. However, as she trained in skill and gained real power, she had no idea that the police force was on her trail. She was attacked at night, while she was training ironically.
She barely escaped with her freedom, but she lost the scroll, however by now she no longer needed it and could rely on herself. She became a rogue ninja for a year, until she crossed paths with her future leader, Matsuri Umeno, for the first time. Ever since then, her life has been as a part of his gang, and his close advisor.
