Midori in an attempt to compose herself sat upwards on the operating table; furthermore, the lanky girl proceeded to cross her legs and close her eyes. Most if not all of her pain was surging from the hand where Kamakiri placed his seal. Using what control she had left Midori liquefied her arm and hand, yet despite this curse marks still spiraled up her arm. Using her hydrification technique had a fairly negligible effect on the pain, but it was at least a somewhat impressive feat. The tomoe markings continued to climb up right side onto her face. The pain intensified to the point where the girls arm returned to normal. Midori understood that Kamakiri was not only granting her immense power, but he was also testing her in every aspect. Komatsu Midori was sworn to her Master, and she has yet to disappoint him. The girl took a deep breath and allowed the curse seal to take her over.

KAMAKIRI IS KNOWLEDGE

As Kamakiri took notes, to him he seemed to disassociate in a weirdly conscious way, almost as if he were allowing a certain part of his brain to become the main if not only focus. He scribbled like a prophet, taking notes on the most minute details, this was the skill of an elder scholar devoted wholly and only to the act of study. As the process underwent his young protegee and he felt he had gained all useful information, he stopped taking notes and simply observed. Clever girl, she used her hydrification to lessen the overall amount of agony. Though it didn't seem to work as well as she hoped, it certainly had an effect. I'm surprised she can even do that much while undergoing such a distraction, my reliable naive Midori. I'll have to be wary of others attempting similar things in the future, when receiving my boon! As soon as the markings completely spread across the girl, they almost seemed to lock in place and clench roughly, and then as if to make up for the slow crawl previously they immediately shot back into the original placement of the seal. It was a success, finally. "Midori, you have done it. Well done."
