Yoshi and the Toads

Yoshi was alone on a ledge near a mountain top with a beautiful view of clouds and the sunset. Yoshi had been studying the Summoning Technique for a few months now, ever since he met a small toad a few weeks after he first enrolled into the academy. A few months after enrollment, Yoshi had made friends with that small toad and met a good few others as well, many much larger and much stronger. He had already formed a pact, a blood contract, with the Toads, he had just not gotten the hang of summoning. That was, until now, for after months of training, Yoshi believes today is the day he truly gets this jutsu understood.

Yoshi stood with his back to the sun, and a determined expression on his face. He removed his sunglasses, before it gets dark, he thought to himself. He took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, then deep in, and slow out, he continued to do this until he felt relaxed. "Okay let's do this! Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" Yoshi held his right hand in the sky as he yelled to boost his own determination, then he drew his thumb to his mouth and bit hard, breaking the skin. He used this blood as the sacrifice for the jutsu, and released his chakra causing the Summoning Technique to commenced. The black summoning seal markings grew across the ground and a puff of smoke erupted from it's center!

Yoshi looked down at the spot with glee as the smoke emerged,but as the summoned creature was revealed his glee turned to disappointment immediately. The small toad he had met in the first place, Gamaheki, didn't seem happy with Yoshi's disappointed face at all. "Hey! What's with the long face, ain't ya happy ta see me? Seriously, fix ya face or I'll fix it for ya, haha!" Gamaheki ended his words with a cackle. He was orange with yellow eyes and black circles on his back. "No, I mean, hey Gamaheki. It's nice to see you, but I'm trying to summon a stronger toad! Yoshi replied. "You must be fighting crazy strong people if you need someone stronger than myself, so I guess this is an urgent matter! I'll show you everything I know!"

"Alright, from the top! Keep up, kid. You can't just regulate your physical body, chakra flow and control are as important as breathing when it comes to jutsu. You don't look like you get much oxygen, so we'll make up for that in chakra control, hahaha! Alright, let's practice..." it had already started getting pretty dark by the time they started training, to make up for it Gamaheki lit a few sticks on fire using Katon and used them as a light source. By the time it was pitch black, Yoshi was ready to try again.

First, Yoshi situated his legs and stance, then he relaxed and optimized his breathing, and lastly he focused his chakra to make his jutsu more potent. "Go!" Gamaheki said the moment he realized Yoshi was truly ready, "on it!" Yoshi yelled as he repeated the same biting of his thumb and motion to preform Kuchiyose no Jutsu. The same series of events unfolded for Yoshi, the seal marks and the billowing smoke, however this time there was notably more smoke, which greatly excited Yoshi!

This time the smoke cleared and... Yoshi had done it! This time, he had summoned a much stronger toad that he knew fairly well and had gotten along with greatly, Gamaishi! The large stoic toad stood tall with his arms crossed as he gazed at Yoshi. "Ah, I see. You finally developed your Summoning Technique, you are turning into a fine shinobi my friend, well done. Now, I am very proud of you, but it's late and I do not know of what dangers lurk at night in this area, so we must take our leave. Come, Gamaheki. I suggest you rush home too, young Yoshi." "Ah, geez, you summoned the nark! Good job anyway, lame brain, now you've got more skill under your belt, ya welcome. Catch ya later, Yosh'!" With that, they were gone, back to Mount Myoboku, a place Yoshi had only heard stories off. "Yes! I've further developed as a shinobi!" However, Yoshi's celebration was cut short when he realized there was an army red eyes watching Yoshi from the shadows. "Oh, looks like those toads may have been on to something, I'd better be on my way then!" and after saying that Yoshi dashed home to Ryugakure.
