Shishō Fūin: A Beast is Bound

An elite team had been assembled in a pristine and sanitary looking laboratory full of nearly blinding lights and stone flooring and walls ahead of time. In the center of the room a team of 8 sealing specialists had pre-established a field of chakra suppression. On the outside of this circle stood many of the village's jonin, scholars, top scientists and head of the Kokuun clan. Entering the room with the village's new champion, Tenkei was feeling a great mix of emotions. Pride, worry, curiosity, excitement, fear, and much, much, more. However, she was prepared. "You will be going through a lot today, Takeo. But you've proven yourself to be more than qualified. Do not worry, I will be there the entire way, I also have much on my shoulders. I won't let this beast take you. Just think about how much you can help the world once this procedure is undergone. Let us go." she said as she motioned for them to approach the group and the sealing circle.

Takeo was left with nothing more than a simple medical gown. He had changed before entering the lab with the Hokage, and this change of attire generated some worry within his gut. As the two approached the lab the lights pierced right through the chuunin. His head began to ache as his eyes adjusted to the amount of light. Upon inspection Takeo noted every individual in the room, many of them he knew of prior to this experience. Many were renowned ninja he grew up around, and while Takeo never liked being put on a pedestal himself he did enjoy putting others up on one. His nerves were quelled at Tenkei's words;continually, as the Hokage motioned to the sealing circle Takeo slowly inched forwards. His bare feet stepped into the circle and he could feel his chakra being restricted. It was almost as if there had been a large weight placed directly upon his chest. Taking deep breathes Takeo acclimated himself to the sealing circle. As he readied himself the chuunin spoke up, "I am ready when you all are..."

Tenkei watched as the young boy stepped forward, it is clear that he is nervous, who would not be, but it is also clear that he knows what he must do and that he is fully capable of doing so, she looked onto him with respect as he continued. "Let us learn from this young boy, hm? Everybody, steel yourselves. There is much at stake, but I did not pick amateurs for this procedure. You're all professionals for a reason." As Takeo entered the chakra restricting zone, as did Tenkei. She felt a weight pull her down from her shoulders to the floor, but she resisted this fairly easily. "This chakra restriction is necessary for keeping the beast contained, in case anything goes awry. I imagined you'd feel more comfortable if I joined you inside, and explained. Your mental fortitude is just as imperative as your physical. Lay down Takeo, we shall begin."

Tenkei made it apparent what caused a Kage to be deemed great. The people of Tenkaigakure loved her, and it was at this moment that it set in for Takeo. She really is here to protect me, like that of the mother I lost... The Hokage made sure Takeo knew of both the importance of staying mentally and physically strong. Yet as a strong genjutsu user Takeo was well aware of keeping his head screwed on properly. The teen followed his Kage's instructions and lowered himself to the floor. The floor was a stark white and sent a chill through Takeo's bare back. His gown left any opening at his back to which the hospital-like floors pressed up against. Takeo could feel the tension in the room, and he could also pick up on the intensity that was in the air. Not only was this a determining moment for the strength of Tenkaigakure, but also the nine-tailed beast could easily consume Takeo destroying him. Takeo knew the risks on his own body but has always been more than willing to put his own life at risk. Thoughts raced through the chuunin's mind, but again he knew he must remain strong. As he took a deep breathe Takeo cleared his mind of all thoughts and closed his eyes.

As Takeo laid onto the starch white floor, the Hokage began to concentrate her chakra into her palm. It was difficult, even she had to admit, with the number of Fuuinjutsu specialists on the job it was no wonder to Tenkei why her chakra control was off and her reserves felt distant. Despite this, she persisted, focusing her mind, she was the Hokage, she could do this. In a mere moment, but what felt to Tenkei like minutes, her hand was visibly resonating her powerful chakra. As she did this, she focused Kurama's chakra into the same point, which made the two energies swirl and compete for space. While Kurama tried to spread his influence through Tenkei's aura, she resisted, pushing him to the forefront of her hand and raising her hand into the air. "Rrrrraaahhh!" the Hokage yelled out as she put all her might into the movement downward to keep her arm from dislocating from all the power resonating from her. As she did so, she pinpointed Takeo's naval directly, pushing Kurama's power into him and closing the exit behind him, keeping him controlled by her chakra she placed inside Takeo.

Takeo had felt the heavy weight in his chest move directly onto his stomach. There was a great deal of chakra being transferred into the chuunin's body. With an attempt to take control of his chakra Takeo managed to activate his sharingan. The teen's eyes laid witness to a dark red chakra, one that sent a signal of tenacity and anger. The Hokage let out a large scream yet Takeo attempted to remain silent. His whole body was let aflame in pain causing him to let out a wince. He groaned deeply as large amounts of heat radiated from his stomach. The intensity of the seal was similar to that of hot iron etching a burn into Takeo's skin. He could feel the chakra in his body fluctuating and changing by the second. The nine-tailed fox's chakra far outweighed Takeo's, and the teen made an attempt to not let it consume him. He focused his chakra within his body to resist the pull of Kyuubi. Within moments there was a loud resounding voice from within Takeo's head, yet due to the intensity of the sealing process the teen could not make out what was being said.

Tenkei let out a deep sigh as she released the Kyuubi's chakra from her own. She had to admit to herself, it was a great relief, he was powerful indeed. 'I believe in you Takeo, but you do indeed have a difficult path in front of you...' she thought to herself. She recognized that he reacted to the difficulty himself when he let out his slight noises, though he was clearly trying to remain quiet. To be fair, Tenkei probably would've done the same, if not she would've let out even louder noises. The nine tails was a fearsome force! "REMAIN DILIGENT AND PREPARED, MED SQUAD!"

Takeo's senses were dulling and all he could hear at this point was a low growl. His Sharingan allowed him a sense of clarity within himself, but maintaining it became difficult. It was as if he could see a giant silhouette of Kyuubi before him. This large looming figure that had nine tails waving individually behind it; momentarily, Takeo could hear the beast's voice. Yet he wondered if the creature now sealed within him shared the same thoughts as him. It was an odd feeling one that again seemed so intense to the teen. A deep echo reverberated all throughout Takeo's head, "Don't tell me it's some brat!" For an odd reason Takeo felt that this sentient voice had to be referring to him and within seconds Kyuubi showed itself. As if there was a dark cloud within Takeo's mind all the chuunin could make out of the beast was his ears, eyes, and snout. His teeth were absolutely massive when he spoke. The creature clearly felt disgust towards Takeo saying, "Get your sharingan away from me." Takeo felt a since of dread come over his body as he began to come back to reality. Tenkei was yelling above him and the room came back into focus.

Tenkei continued to shout out directives to her formulated team of elite individuals, preparations for the medical squad, encouragement and advice for the fuuinjutsu specialists, and so on. As she did so, she finally stepped out of the chakra restriction zone. Immediately, a weight was lifted off of her and she felt great relief, her true power returned to flow through her body. "Phew..." she let out a deep sigh, it felt as if she was short of breath the entire time she was within their field of chakra influence. Tenkei felt great pride from her shinobi, she even cracked a bit of a smile. Then, she looked down and noticed Takeo coming to, and the urgency of the situation returned to her. "Takeo, are you alright?!"

The chuunin had snapped back into reality and the sealing process was seemingly completed. He watched his Hokage step outside of the chakra restricting zone, and Takeo took this as a chance to stand up. As he went to sit upwards he felt a deep pain in his body. Grasping at his stomach Takeo noticed the seal. It was dark and spiral like. It reminded the teen of something, yet this something could not be identified. Takeo was left feeling somewhat lost, but managed to get to his feet. It was within these moments that Tenkei spoke to him. Thoughts raced through the boys mind about his well-being and he himself questioned he was okay. Yet the Hokage got to him before he could answer his own thoughts. With an unsure shaky voice Takeo replied, "I think I'm fine. Obviously I feel a little out of it, but I'm not experiencing too much pain..." Takeo lurched forwards outside of the chakra restricting dome. Within moments after stepping out of the dampening jutsu Takeo could feel his body surge with energy. It was almost like another weight to him, yet one that seemed more like a muscle. He could feel his chakra grow deeper as he left the restricting zone.

Tenkei watched with great regard as Takeo slowly left the draining perimeter of the chakra restricting zone. Sounds like he feels... well enough, all considered," the Hokage thought to herself, in response to what the young ninja had said about his well-being. "I'm glad you're alright, Takeo! Congratulations. You are now my champion, and guardian of Tenkeigakure! Please, go home, rest, come and see me when you feel your strength return to you! And, the rest of you, dismissed as well! Thank you all!" As the Hokage dismissed everybody, she stopped Takeo before he could leave, so they could speak alone. "Takeo, I believe in you. I want to make sure you understand that. There's a lot of people counting on you, and you can count me among them."
