Tenkaigakure has Aqquirced the Power of Kyuubi, for who?

The battle against Kyuubi in Tenkaigakure was a success, though massive damage occured in the part of the village where the battle transpired. Now the village is still in the process of being repaired but a stadium was built where the battleground remained. The Hokage herself was out of the office for almost a week after exerting herself heavily in the fight. Many shinobi died, and many were wounded. Though a large number of civilian life was saved by the exceptional shinobi who fought that day. The damage could have been a lot worse if it wasn't for their efforts against the beast.

Now today, Tenkei stands on a stage found within the new stadium in Tenkaigakure. In the stands large crowds of people cheered for the Hokage and the shinobi that surrounded her. Her closest subordinates from her Scholar division surrounded her. In the middle of the stadium stood eight exceptional shinobi. Standing for reason. They were here to fight for the power of Kyuubi. There were five Jōnin and three Chunin among the crowd. All of the ninja were hand picked by the Hokage for having participated in the battle against Kyuubi.

Today you will fight with honor. For the winner will control the nine tails. They will become the champion of our village. To protect and help this village prosper. That is why you fight. Show me your resolve.

This tournament will be done in a bracket form all one on one combat. I, the Hokage will call when each match is over. You are not here to kill each other. You are here for you to prove yourself.

To start off the tournament. Takeo vs Sora.

    The defense of Tekaigakure and the assault on Kyuubi had been a slight success within the village. A few weeks prior the Hokage informed eight individuals of their tournament participation. Standing within the center of the stadium was Takeo and a handful of other individuals. Those being Tenkei herself, the scholars, and seven other tournament participants. As the group broke the first fighters were to be announced, and Takeo already knew ahead of time that he'd be the first to fight. Honor?Hmph where are we, Ryugakure? I'll show you my resolve! As these thoughts raced through Takeo's mind he heard his name called from above. "Takeo v.s. Sora" rang through the chuunin's ears. Sora, she's a jonin, and from what I know she wears a half gaskmask alongside a cloaked hood, remembered Takeo. Each of them stood at separate ends of the stadium; continually, Takeo broke off first dashing towards Sora. As he darted at the jonin his hands moved exceptionally fast weaving the handsigns for Sanzengarasu no Jutsu causing countless crows to surround Sora. Takeo awaited the crows eventual endless cloning as Sora would hopefully become completely blinded. The chuunin made sure to wait outside his cloud of crows anticipating an opening.

Itsuki stood within the newly formed stadium that the people of Tenkaigakure had erected, as a way to boost our morale after the viscous onslaught from the Tailed Beast. That thing has some great power, but I don't need it's help to make myself great! I'm only here to show off and test myself really... but no one has to know that, I'll act like I really want the thing for now. It'd be pretty funny if I made it to the finals, though, he thought to himself, snickering. He listened to the Hokage speak and went into a specific contestant's seating section, along with the other contestants, where those who were competing in the tournament could relax, watch, and prepare themselves if they wanted. Obviously, Itsuki stood leaning on the railing so that he could watch Takeo's fight. "Hey, Yume! Come watch the fight with me, it'll be fun!" he called out to his close friend, Masayume.

Masayume approached Itsuki with a smile on her face. This sure will be a good one. Takeo is sure to win. He's strong. Masayume leaned against the railing, eyes locked on Takeo. He's going to win for sure, but I'm still going to fight just as hard for Kyuubi.

[Pain]

Sora is surprised at the aggression taken by Takeo. This young boy doesn't even fear what power I might have. Time to show this child why he shouldn't be in this tournament in the first place. Using Kemton: Sokuban Sora creates a large shroud smoke around her to confuse the cloning crow attack that Takeo threw out. Lauching herself into the air she also uses Kemton: Nami to send a wave of smoke towards Takeo. Remaining hidden in the smoke she waits for the next move from Takeo.

    A cloud of dense chakra smoke engulfed Sora, yet Takeo's crows continued multiplying within the cloud. As soon as Sora propelled herself into the air Takeo sent his murder of crows to surround Sora pecking at her endlessly. His eyes easily analyzed the Rat hand seal simultaneously preparing for her jutsu. As her blast of smoke came flying at Takeo he swiftly flipped to the side avoiding it. The smoke doesn't seem to have any inherent damage, it seems best I don't breathe it in, though Takeo. As Sora retreated within her cloud Takeo took action. His crow cloud surrounded almost every inch of Sora's smoke except a moderate circle facing Takeo. The chuunin inhaled a deep breathe as he weaved the Tiger → Dog hand seals using Fuuton: Shinkuu Taigyoku - Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere. Exiting his mouth was a crushing sphere of wind that shot right into Sora's smoke cloud. As the sphere of wind broke in Takeo's crows proceeded to close the gap they had previously made. Takeo's eyes searched for where Sora would break to.

[Pain]

Sora begins to panic as crows attack her in her shroud. How are they doing this while I'm in my shroud? Just as that thought rolls through her mind a large bomb of wind impacts her within her dark smoke, launching her against a wall in the stadium. All the air escapes her chest and she slumps against the wall for a moment before slowly getting up and wiping drips of blood coming from her lip. Looking at Takeo she is surprised to be returned with a gaze of red, the Sharingan. Those eyes. You must be apart of that Kokuun family. You're quite strong boy. I'll show you my true power now. Using Kemton: Hisan Kyoha no Kemuri Kumo Sora creates a small cloud of smoke under her feet giving her the ability to levitate. Then weaving the Rat seal a large dragon made of black smoke comes out of her hand. Keeping the Rat hand seal up she sends the dragon towards Takeo. You're still young.

    Takeo's Sharingan flicked into vision as he awaited Sora's movements. A loud crash was emitted from within her cloud of smoke and Sora was blasted away. The stadium wall served as the perfect impact area as it didn't break away too much. Sora's gaze meets Takeo as she immediately relates him to his family name; continually, she prepared for something big. Smoke lifts her into the air as Takeo's eyes follow hers. Her hand seals change and the boy releases a slight sigh as he uses Niseshi no Gijutsu - Art of Fake Death, timing this alongside her dragon's emergence. With the connection of his genjutsu Sora would believe she beat Takeo with her smoke dragon. Meanwhile Takeo would actually have been sprinting to the stadium wall Sora crashed into, he then would proceed to run up the wall leaping off towards Sora. With his ninja-to in one hand Takeo would attempt to burst into the incapacitated Sora from behind grasping onto her at her left shoulder. His blade would come around pressed up against the jonin's throat, as he spoke quietly to her. "I don't like to be known by just the Kokuun name. I'm honestly not sure if I would've tried so hard if you didn't run your mouth."

Sora watched her smoke dragon completely envelope Takeo. Laughing to her self she rambles about her win. You have much more time before you can beat someone like me. Just as those words left her lips the image she was seeing vanished as quickly as her smoke dragon did, she gasps as her eyes were met with the cold stare of Takeo. Hearing his words and feeling the edge of his kunai against her throat. I see, I shouldn't have doubted those eyes. You may say those words, but people will only you see as the Kokuun. Haven't you realized that's how this village created. It's about your name.

[Pain]

The Hokage watches as the battle between Takeo and Sora unravels. Quite interesting. Takeo is much stronger than I expected. As for Sora, she is too confident. Her thoughts interrupted as she becomes more intrigued into the match as she watched Soras' smoke dragon dissipate almost just as quickly as it was summoned. As soon as Takeos' kunai touches the neck of Sora, Tenkei calls the match. Takeo wins!

A shinobi leaps down into the stadium to lead Takeo and Sora back into the stands. Tenkei calls out the next match up.

For the next match. Itsuki vs. Naegi

[Pain]

Itsuki approached his side of the arena with his hands flamboyantly in the air, "YEAH! WOOH! Itsuki! Itsuki!" he yelled as he pumped his fist into the air, riling himself up. A group of audience members, Itsuki noted them all being from the Idou family, cheered along side him, the rest of the audience looked pretty annoyed. Racists, one day they'll see Itsuki is #1! For now, I'll have to show them by really giving it my all! He looked forward and his eyes locked with his opponent, they were fitted with traditional shinobi attire: flak jacket, hitai-ate and all; the only notable difference was that he had dark green hair and light green eyes. He pointed at his target and spoke, "I'm not going to use my weapons," he said cockily with a massive grin across his face. He then sat down on the ground with his arms crossed, waiting for the enemy to make the move.

    As the chuunin's Sharingan reverted back to normal his gaze drifted. Those of higher ranking always like to drone with excuses once they've been beat, thought Takeo. As he stepped past the jonin his ninja-to returned to his sheathe. He broke away immediately heading out of the Stadium, yet he made sure to give Yume and Itsuki a glance. Takeo felt oddly overwhelmed as he looked up at the two. His hand mindlessly shot up as he gave Yume a smile and a wave. While Takeo and Itsuki shared a bit more of a stare. As Takeo exited he would make sure to high-five Itsuki before his match. Searching for were Itsuki sat Takeo placed himself next to Yume. As he looked down at her he spoke with a relaxed tone, "I don't think Itsuki's opponent is ready for the way he fights. Even my Sharingan can barely manage to keep up with his spinning." Escaping into a dream-like state Takeo remembered a time when Itsuki and him were both genin. Placed on the same team they used to bicker endlessly about how to approach almost every situation, and it wasn't until Itsuki knocked Takeo on his ass that he shut up.

Masayume glowed as Takeo waved to her from the stadium. He did so good! As he came and stood next to her to watch Itsuki fight she said, You did really great Takeo, you're so strong. You totally outsmarted that Jōnin. Then replying to his words. I agree, he's wild and unpredictable. With those words she turns and faces the stadium. If you win I'll get to try my hand at fighting you, Itsuki.

Naegi was very put off by the actions of Itsuki. You really think you're all that. Interesting. Try this. Quickly weaving hand seals together Naegi uses Mokuton: Shichuurou no Jutsu to create a wooden prison around Itsuki. Cockiness is not always the best trait, bud. Then using Mokuton: Sashiki no Jutsu to create a makeshift sword out of wood. I'll show you what type of power GROWTH gives. Naegi chuckled to himself. Get it, pal. You're a small seed.

Itsuki, using his talented acrobatic skills and strong leg muscles, sprung from his sitting position as if it were completely natural for him. He launched into the air, flipping forward as he evaded the Wood release jutsu. As if I wasn't going to assume Wood Release after all of those bad puns, well he's not gonna steal any attention from me! Time to put him in his place, which is beneath me, Itsuki thought to himself as he landed in a standing position. "You ain't nuttin' but some mutton. I'll eat you like a glutton. Itsuki is the baddest, so Naegi, why you frontin'?!" he said as he bounced on the balls of his feet, lightly, like he was ready to glide at any moment. Then, in an instant, he dashed at his target with a grin.
