Takeo kneads scorch release chakra deep within his body in which he holds onto. This chakra can be emitted from the Takeo's body at any moment as long as he holds the rat hand seal. When released the shakuton chakra will expand in an dome around the shinobi up to 5m; continually, this emission of chakra is virtually invisible to the naked eye unless one is paying close attention. This jutsu is primarily used to disrupt suiton jutsu and incoming attacks, it is rarely ever used in an offensive manner. The strength of the emitted chakra is mostly dependent on the user's power, but is easily able to evaporate and crumble suiton jutsu. On people the jutsu can leave burns and even catch their clothes aflame. The expansion of the shakuton chakra is fairly fast yet quickens with higher control.

Takeo using the Shakuton chakra nature developed a jutsu similar to that of Fuuton: Kazekiri no Jutsu with blades of searing Shakuton chakra. Using his Gunbai to manipulate the air while also generating heat allows him to create blades of wind that take on the nature of scorch release. The scorching blades become visible unlike the parent jutsu, yet Takeo has greatly increased their destructive force. Not only do the now visible scorch release blades move at great speeds they also cause severe dehydration on contact. Bare skin and clothes will immediately dry up and wilt upon contact creating something similar to that of flaky skin freezer-burn. Due to the point of contact losing all water it seemingly stiffens up only to be a delicate attack point. Removing limbs or even hands is easy if one has precision. Furthermore, most armors will often initially corrode and then completely dry and sear onto the point of contact. Takeo developed this jutsu with immobilization in mind. He often uses it to easily capture and interrogate enemies.

Takeo creates up to three roaring flame orbs that resemble small stars. These orbs rotate around the user and can be freely controlled to attack enemies; continually, the dense masses of shakuton chakra can move independently of one another. When an orb comes into contact with opponent, it will evaporate most if not all of the water inside their body, leaving them in a withered state. Contact with multiple orbs at once can be utterly devastating turning living matter into dried out mush. The density of the orbs can be altered at will allowing the Takeo to change the speed at which they move as well. The heavier the shakuton orb the more damaging but the slower it moves; while lighter orbs move with higher speed and deal less damage. It should not be mistaken, these small suns should be avoided at all costs. Weapons, unless made from a special material or imbued in chakra, are liquified when they come near the roaring stars. Lastly, the orbs can be combined into one large orb, but can only be separated into a maximum of three separate orbs.
