Bunraku is something like a child's intuition and thought processes, inside a tormented man's mind. After everything he's been through, unhinged is an understatement when it comes to describing Bunraku's psyche; he suffers from a plethora of issues, though he normally keeps them under wrap through a guise of child-like giddiness, curiosity, and light-hearted manner. Though, when put into a seriously threatening or personally important situation his personality shifts to what one would assume he was like before the experiment... cold, collected, sadistic, and spiteful. Bunraku's deep self-hatred of his unfortunate but useful physiology spawns a deep hatred and jealousy of humans, though he can swallow this hate for his own purposes. Bunraku also suffers from amnesia, or rather his past life has been stripped away from him, and sometimes flashes of the past or his old self will peak through.

Bunraku's visage is similar to many of those who suffer from Kegare, though the exact specifics of one's form of darkness is mostly up to choice. He personally chooses to depict himself more so through the use of his 'nesting dolls', this is in line with his suffering of identity issues. His eye's irises are red, his teeth are sharpened, and the entirety of his body is composed of shadows.

The Earth Grudge Fear (地怨虞, Jiongu) is a secret kinjutsu of Shirokuro which transforms the user's body into something similar to that of a rag-doll's, held together by hundreds of thick black threads. The user is able to close up any non-serious wound quickly, but deep cuts take a while to close. Instead of blood, when the user is cut, they leak out black grains of the threads. The user is able to utilize Earth Grudge Fear and detach body parts to send them other places using the black threads (such as underground for recon). The user is also to reapply body parts such as the arms or feet, by using the threads to reattach them.

Kegare is a state of being that overtakes one's entire existence. It restricts one from ever being exposed to light directly. If they are they can be reduced to dust. This curse comes at the advantage of extremely efficient Yin chakra manipulation; all Yin jutsu speed, strength, and range being naturally greatly improved. Their body and soul are converted into Yin nature energy, making them some what of a thing rather than a person, a literal shadow of their former self. Kegare is a form of Yokai.

When a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. The cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. Then, using a scalpel, an incision is made into the affected part. Using their chakra, the medical-nin then draws out the agent, while simultaneously repairing the damage it caused.
After the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine, which can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. This technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis and incising and unmatched chakra control. Therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.

As this technique combines ninjutsu, chemistry, and medical knowledge, using it requires fine chakra control and advanced ability in medical ninjutsu.

Similar to the Bunshin no Jutsu , this jutsu creates clones of the user. But unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.
Unlike other clone techniques, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person.

This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal ninja tools like swords or kunai into a scroll or their clothes beforehand, allowing them to be called upon when needed. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks" which can be drawn anywhere. The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced. Also when a weapon such as a Fuuma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in fully extended form beforehand.
The ninja tools are thrown with the actual speed of a "flash of lightning," ruining the opponent's outset of the battle, and snatching away the initiative. Furthermore, because the summonable ninja tools can remain hidden until right before they are used, if this technique is mastered, there are an exceptional number of possible tactics.

The size of the explosion is considerably big.

In order to cancel this technique, the one who removed the tag has no choice but to somehow become stronger than they were at the time they removed it.

Each gate has a specific duty: the first red gate takes the attack head-on, the second green gate reduces the power of the attack, and the third blue gate disperses the pressure.

However, while split, the user's power is halved and as such they is unable to use more complex techniques.

First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. If the mental image is a gruesome one, the shock will be accordingly great.

At the same time, they are fed morbid hallucinations, which makes it also possible to run them down mentally. No matter how skilled someone is, they have no option besides turning into sitting ducks. This effect allows the user to attack unseen. Although it negates sight, it does not stop the other senses. In essence, the opponent can sense, hear and smell out the user of the technique and break its effects by landing one hit.

A user of Rapier style will raise their sword just above their chest, place their free hand behind their back, and bend their knees.
The user can dodge while attacking using this style.

Iaido Style is the smooth and connected movements of the Katana. Each strike is accurate and true in strength. In Claymore style, the user will raise their sword to a level stance and use their momentum to swing the sword towards their intended target. The user is more prone to breaking through armor and defenses.

The Iris spear style uses primarily stabbing techniques. True kill shots would be to the face, the throat and groin. With this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a timelag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.

If the enemy notices both shuriken, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency.

While some may see it as "Superhuman Strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate and minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

Using Chakra Flow, this technique requires a bladed weapon; by feeding chakra into the weapon, the ninja will increase the length and density of his blade to strike an enemy from several feet out of the physical blade's range. This is accomplished by creating an invisible extension of chakra that shapes into an edge that functions like the normal blade itself.
Seeing the blade, the opponent may misjudge how far they need to move to avoid an incoming strike and thereby still be cut even if they manage to avoid the metal portion of the blade. The chakra-enhanced blades are strong and sharp enough to strike through solid rock or cut through iron. This technique works best with elemental chakra, especially with wind chakra for offensive cutting power.

The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from there. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or having to face gigantic creatures. The technique can also be used on a smaller scale to trap individual foes.

The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through.
The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the jutsu less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation.

As it is more difficult for the enemy notice it, this ninjutsu also compensates for the weak point of the similar Kagemane no Jutsu, being its limited effective range. Despite it's name, any sort of weapon of chakra conducting material can be used.

Also, if the Kagemanu no Jutsu isn't making the opponent copy their movements, this can be used to bind opponent's body in order to restrain them. The closer the user is to their opponent, the tighter the strangle will become. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time and weakens with each passing minute. Light is a direct factor in this jutsu. It seems to make the strength of the bind stronger, though has no known effect on the duration of the bind.

A ninjutsu from among the shadow manipulation tribe's secret techniques that uses materialised shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilizing and controlling like Kagemane no Jutsu. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required.
This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into Kagemane no Jutsu.

This is a ninjutsu using materialized shadows, but compared to Kage Nui no Jutsu from the same line, this technique places emphasis on the minute control of the shadow's movements. It is accurate enough to even make the tentacles go through tiny holes. Basically, this technique takes the user's own shadow and transforms and stretches it into countless thin tentacles, which are then used to grab objects and pull them in. Also, one can also skillfully make use of the tentacle-shaped shadow tendrils by using them to lift up and throw weapons like kunai and such. This technique has many possible applications and uses.

The user can freely manipulate each thread, although that takes much focus and chakra, controlling the entire mass of threads is much easier. These threads can be used to grab something without harming it, or pierce a target and pull it towards the user, they can also be used to simply restrain the target or catch something out of mid-air, they are quite versatile.

These threads work like a weedwhacker, using the speed and thin wire to cut through weeds, these threads use chakra, speed, and their thin nature to cut through... most things.

Outside of this, the silhouettes only ever take the form of a shadowy humanoid visage that you can't truly make out. The user can make a multitude of these chakra ghosts and use them to blend into the shadows.

The user must hold the rat hand seal while they preform this jutsu, once they do so they can then project as many shadow puppets as control they have. These shadow puppets look like featureless humanoid figures composed and shrouded in darkness. They have the ability to use all shadow based abilities, as well as put a target under Kagemane no Jutsu if they are touched. They cannot be physically damaged, as they are intangible shadows, however bursts of light will make them disappear immediately, or having the shadow line between the user and the puppet separated.

This rainfall is much denser and heavier than true rain, and is viscous, being as difficult to remove from one's self as substances such as mucus, tar, and napalm. The purpose of this jutsu is to slow down those within it's range coming closer to the user. The user of this jutsu can leave the cloud overhead but it will cost more chakra the longer it is kept, they can also move it to their person by holding the tiger seal once again, once again draining chakra.

This seal allows the user to have a suggestive manipulation over the target that they won't be able to notice, leading them to believe almost all of what they say and listen to most of their commands, as long as it's nothing outrageously out of their normal behavior. This seal slowly degrades over time and usage and must be reapplied. It only resurfaces when the user is giving them instruction, when being placed, or when the target is trying to resist its effects.

The fog causes people within it to get extremely lost, not only that but if they spend enough time there they will begin to forget their purpose for being there, and then completely lose their minds after extended exposure. The range of this genjutsu is great and it is intended to be used on unwitting targets, including large platoons. The coloration of this fog is slihtly off, rather than a hazy gray it's more of a fading blue.

They then throw this ball of shadow that is incapable of being damaged in anyway, due to it being made of light devouring darkness. The shadow then rapidly expands, at the speed of light, the moment it hits a surface. It will engulf a maximum of a 10 meter area with darkness, completely robbing it of all light, ultimately making all eyes blind in this area even all advanced dojutsu. Those trapped within this darkness are not necessarily trapped in the user's shadow technique until the user enters the darkness as well.

This technique is extremely tiring, making the user quite physically tired after usage, although it's chakra usage is substantial as well.

This jutsu requires moderate focus and good chakra control. If the opponent makes physical contact with the flame it will dissipate.

Once the target is trapped within a shadow, the user manipulates shadows to become somewhat like tar and crawl up the target's body. Slowly they are dragged into the black ichor, once fully enveloped they are then transported into a pocket dimension referred to as Hell. This is mainly meant to separate people from a group, as the user is able to separate their consciousness between the real world and Hell and operate both bodies completely at the same time.

Once the target makes eye contact a shadow is immediately connected between them at the speed of light, though this shadow is simply an illusion for the target of this genjutsu. Within the genjutsu, the target will experience all that happens in the jutsu Naraku, except in this version of Hell the user possesses the ability to manipulate the dimension around them physically, shaping it in such a way to disorient or damage the target. In reality, the victim of the genjutsu is acting completely horrified and running in terror like a madman.

The user focuses a great deal of Yin release chakra wherever they point, within that location a sphere will begin to grow incredibly bright and then entirely dark in a split second. The darkness is devastating to most defenses, tearing through them with the energy of something meant to put out the sun!

If a target dies in Hell, their soul can be returned into the body of a puppet that resembles them. This puppet is imbued with this person's essence; their voice, memories, mannerisms, jutsu, etc. The user retains complete autonomy over this puppet and can make modifications to them the same as a puppet, they are even capable of altering the degree of sentience the trapped soul retains. This can be horrific for allies of this person as well as the trapped soul, obviously. The user of this jutsu is unrestricted by the usage of chakra strings when manipulating these puppets as they impose their will on the puppet's trapped soul rather than it's soulless wooden body.

This technique can be dangerous if performed by foolhardy people, and although it is meant mostly for evasion and escape it could be used in combat offensively. The appearance of this manipulated water spout is an off-blue.

The size of this encampment depends on the user but the larger it is the more chakra it costs and the slower it takes to rise.

The user creates a green colored vacuum of air around the target's head, causing them to suffocate in a matter of moments without any oxygen to speak of. Disrupting this jutsu is as simple as moving out of sight, moving quickly, or offsetting the user; but it can be difficult to think whilst suffocating.

This phoenix can be manipulated by the user as long as they retain the final handseal, and it can be sent to descend onto opponents at a fast speed and cause a large fiery explosion large enough to quickly burn down a big building and/or quickly spread to burn down an entire forest.

Bunraku is a tormented soul trapped in a disfigured body. His mind and sense of self was somewhat stitched together from what he was taught and what he learned himself in the early years as a lab rat for Kamakiri. The formative years for Bunraku were unbelievably confusing and terrifying to the old soul, his situation was unique to him and unlike any child or amnesiac man before him... and his sadistic scientific creator was not gifted in patience and care. He learned how to walk, by falling flat on his face and letting the wounds heal.
Kamakiri and Bunraku never got along from the beginning, he simply wasn't as receptive to the abuse and punishment as the rest of the worm's loyal subjects. Maybe this was because, from the beginning, Bunraku shared a certain understanding of equality with his then master, a certain feeling that Kamakiri truly had no power over him. Bunraku simply respected the man, at first. Though, over time he began to recognize his true place in the world and his true place in Kamakiri's opinion, much unlike the other subjects.
During his time here, he was paired up alongside another one of Kamakiri's most promising subjects, a young girl named Midori. Together they executed missions and orders on their master's behalf, furthering his goals and building their own experience as assassins, shinobi, and masterminds of their own right. After some period of time, though, Bunraku began to acquiesce to the idea of him leaving Kamakiri, not because of any sense of loyalty but rather a sense of dread. He was not sure if he would have the strength to prevail. On the night of his daring escape that he had planned for months on end, he was intercepted by who else than Midori who was sent there by a well aware Kamakiri. He had predicted the movements of the shadow.
Though he had sent Midori alone, it seemed like he was testing the two against each other. He had probably planned this in the first place! Well, his plan worked, because Midori and Bunraku launched into an intense and heartfelt battle. Much was at stake and so the two fought to the teeth, drawing blood and breaking bones, but in the end, Bunraku was victorious. He slinked away from the bloody battlefield, leaving Midori to be retrieved by his now old master.
Following this, Bunraku began to build a life of his own. He escaped Hyoudengakure and attempted to go east, but ran into trouble, Arashiryugakure didn't take well to outsiders especially those as odd as himself. Similar issues arose in Getsugakure, Tenkaigakure, Izumigakure, and places in between; not to mention his natural inclination to the colder environments. All of these factors eventually resulted in him traveling north, far north, originally he intended on escaping from humanity entirely and being left alone. This all changed, though, when he encountered the Ice Queen of Korigakure: Rei. Since then, she has inspired him to find a new purpose in life, beginning with getting revenge on the worm, Kamakiri.

The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a timelag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.

If the enemy notices both shuriken, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency.

While some may see it as "Superhuman Strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate and minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

Using Chakra Flow, this technique requires a bladed weapon; by feeding chakra into the weapon, the ninja will increase the length and density of his blade to strike an enemy from several feet out of the physical blade's range. This is accomplished by creating an invisible extension of chakra that shapes into an edge that functions like the normal blade itself.
Seeing the blade, the opponent may misjudge how far they need to move to avoid an incoming strike and thereby still be cut even if they manage to avoid the metal portion of the blade. The chakra-enhanced blades are strong and sharp enough to strike through solid rock or cut through iron. This technique works best with elemental chakra, especially with wind chakra for offensive cutting power.

Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water.

By changing the surface of an object (ground, ceiling, wall, etc.) beneath an enemy (relative to them) into mud and creating a swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from there. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or having to face gigantic creatures. The technique can also be used on a smaller scale to trap individual foes.

Since most puppeteer use his or her hands to manipulate the puppets, if their hands are disabled, then the technique can be neutralized. Also, while controlling the puppet, the user is wide open if the opponent bypasses the puppet. For this reason, puppeteers avoid hand to hand battle, relying almost exclusively on their puppets instead.

The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through.
The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the jutsu less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation.

As it is more difficult for the enemy notice it, this ninjutsu also compensates for the weak point of the similar Kagemane no Jutsu, being its limited effective range. Despite it's name, any sort of weapon of chakra conducting material can be used.

Also, if the Kagemanu no Jutsu isn't making the opponent copy their movements, this can be used to bind opponent's body in order to restrain them. The closer the user is to their opponent, the tighter the strangle will become. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time and weakens with each passing minute. Light is a direct factor in this jutsu. It seems to make the strength of the bind stronger, though has no known effect on the duration of the bind.

A ninjutsu from among the shadow manipulation tribe's secret techniques that uses materialised shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilizing and controlling like Kagemane no Jutsu. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required.
This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into Kagemane no Jutsu.

Also, one can also skillfully make use of the tentacle-shaped shadow tendrils by using them to lift up and throw weapons like kunai and such. This technique has many possible applications and uses.

They cannot be physically damaged, as they are intangible shadows, however bursts of light will make them disappear immediately, or having the shadow line between the user and the puppet separated.

The purpose of this jutsu is to slow down those within it's range coming closer to the user. The user of this jutsu can leave the cloud overhead but it will cost more chakra the longer it is kept, they can also move it to their person by holding the tiger seal once again, once again draining chakra.

The range of this genjutsu is great and it is intended to be used on unwitting targets, including large platoons. The coloration of this fog is slihtly off, rather than a hazy gray it's more of a fading blue.

It will engulf a maximum of a 10 meter area with darkness, completely robbing it of all light, ultimately making all eyes blind in this area even all advanced dojutsu. Those trapped within this darkness are not necessarily trapped in the user's shadow technique until the user enters the darkness as well.

This technique is extremely tiring, making the user quite physically tired after usage, although it's chakra usage is substantial as well.

This fire draws the attention of opponent's, not only due to it's unnatural color, percieved threatlevel, and straight-foward brightness, but also simply because the chakra nature of the flame plays upon the human psyche and draws attention to itself that way as well. This jutsu requires moderate focus and good chakra control. If the opponent makes physical contact with the flame it will dissipate.

Once the target is trapped within a shadow, the user manipulates shadows to become somewhat like tar and crawl up the target's body. Slowly they are dragged into the black ichor, once fully enveloped they are then transported into a pocket dimension referred to as Hell. This is mainly meant to separate people from a group, as the user is able to separate their consciousness between the real world and Hell and operate both bodies completely at the same time.

Once the target makes eye contact a shadow is immediately connected between them at the speed of light, though this shadow is simply an illusion for the target of this genjutsu. Within the genjutsu, the target will experience all that happens in the jutsu Naraku, except in this version of Hell the user possesses the ability to manipulate the dimension around them physically, shaping it in such a way to disorient or damage the target. In reality, the victim of the genjutsu is acting completely horrified and running in terror like a madman.

This causes all within the shadow to be trapped in the user's own shadow technique.

If a target dies in Hell, their soul can be returned into the body of a puppet that resembles them. This puppet is imbued with this person's essence; their voice, memories, mannerisms, jutsu, etc. The user retains complete autonomy over this puppet and can make modifications to them the same as a puppet, they are even capable of altering the degree of sentience the trapped soul retains. This can be horrific for allies of this person as well as the trapped soul, obviously. The user of this jutsu is unrestricted by the usage of chakra strings when manipulating these puppets as they impose their will on the puppet's trapped soul rather than it's soulless wooden body.

They build this chakra and pressure up until it's difficult for them to hold and then they release it, launching them whichever direction they were aiming at incredibly high speeds for incredible distances. This technique can be dangerous if performed by foolhardy people, and although it is meant mostly for evasion and escape it could be used in combat offensively. The appearance of this manipulated water spout is an off-blue.

The floor is replaced with this substance as well, only those proficient in doton would be capable of simply travelling through this as it is much denser than simpl earth. The size of this encampment depends on the user but the larger it is the more chakra it costs and the slower it takes to rise.

The user creates a green colored vacuum of air around the target's head, causing them to suffocate in a matter of moments without any oxygen to speak of. Disrupting this jutsu is as simple as moving out of sight, moving quickly, or offsetting the user; but it can be difficult to think whilst suffocating.

The user performs the necessary handseals and then they focus Yin release Katon chakra around themselves in a sort of aura, then they release this aura in a burst of flames that shoots into the sky and forms into the shape and visage of a gray phoenix. This phoenix can be manipulated by the user as long as they retain the final handseal, and it can be sent to descend onto opponents at a fast speed and cause a large fiery explosion large enough to quickly burn down a big building and/or quickly spread to burn down an entire forest.

Bunraku is a tormented soul trapped in a disfigured body. His mind and sense of self was somewhat stitched together from what he was taught and what he learned himself in the early years as a lab rat for Kamakiri. The formative years for Bunraku were unbelievably confusing and terrifying to the old soul, his situation was unique to him and unlike any child or amnesiac man before him... and his sadistic scientific creator was not gifted in patience and care. He learned how to walk, by falling flat on his face and letting the wounds heal.
Kamakiri and Bunraku never got along from the beginning, he simply wasn't as receptive to the abuse and punishment as the rest of the worm's loyal subjects. Maybe this was because, from the beginning, Bunraku shared a certain understanding of equality with his then master, a certain feeling that Kamakiri truly had no power over him. Bunraku simply respected the man, at first. Though, over time he began to recognize his true place in the world and his true place in Kamakiri's opinion, much unlike the other subjects.
During his time here, he was paired up alongside another one of Kamakiri's most promising subjects, a young girl named Midori. Together they executed missions and orders on their master's behalf, furthering his goals and building their own experience as assassins, shinobi, and masterminds of their own right. After some period of time, though, Bunraku began to acquiesce to the idea of him leaving Kamakiri, not because of any sense of loyalty but rather a sense of dread. He was not sure if he would have the strength to prevail. On the night of his daring escape that he had planned for months on end, he was intercepted by who else than Midori who was sent there by a well aware Kamakiri. He had predicted the movements of the shadow.
Though he had sent Midori alone, it seemed like he was testing the two against each other. He had probably planned this in the first place! Well, his plan worked, because Midori and Bunraku launched into an intense and heartfelt battle. Much was at stake and so the two fought to the teeth, drawing blood and breaking bones, but in the end, Bunraku was victorious. He slinked away from the bloody battlefield, leaving Midori to be retrieved by his now old master.
Following this, Bunraku began to build a life of his own. He escaped Hyoudengakure and attempted to go east, but ran into trouble, Arashiryugakure didn't take well to outsiders especially those as odd as himself. Similar issues arose in Getsugakure, Tenkaigakure, Izumigakure, and places in between; not to mention his natural inclination to the colder environments. All of these factors eventually resulted in him traveling north, far north, originally he intended on escaping from humanity entirely and being left alone. This all changed, though, when he encountered the Ice Queen of Korigakure: Rei. Since then, she has inspired him to find a new purpose in life, beginning with getting revenge on the worm, Kamakiri.
