The genin is quite mature and has always gravitated towards those older than him. Hayato is not only stubborn but also extremely tenacious in his dreams and wishes. When the teen has his eyes set on something nothing can take them off. Despite this, Hayato follows orders surprisingly well, but he has a tendency to do things his way.

His face often carries a monotonous facial expression, even in combat, that some find annoying. His main outfit consists of a high-collared black and white button up long sleeved shirt. The buttons on his shirt are gold alongside the bands around the ends of his shirt sleeves. He wears light brown pants that are cut below his knees and, around his waist, a pair of brown belts that cross each other. Additionally, he wears a pair of dark-colored socks and a pair of black boots. He carries his grimoire in a pouch strapped at his right-hand side of his waist. Hayato also wears a multicolored white and black robe with a yellow fur-trimmed hood; continually, sometimes he will wear a similar version of this robe that is no longer than his waist.

This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Basically all ninja know this technique.

This debilitates the victim for a short period of time, which allows the user to either strike again or, in some cases, take the target into custody.

Not only does this jutsu take time, but it also requires a unique grimoire and a tool to write with. Jumon Fūin allows the user to inscribe a single ninjutsu technique into their grimoire for which they can summon at any point. The user must write down all information about the technique and how to perform it. Following that, they must also imbue the required chakra to perform said ninjutsu into the inscription. The ninjutsu technique can be used at any point by placing their hand against the inscription and saying the jutsu's name. After using the summon technique there will be a moment where the inscription will be activated, in this moment the user must aim their medium at whatever they wish to hit.

Iaido Style is the smooth and connected movements of the Katana. Each strike is accurate and true in strength. If the enemy notices both shuriken, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency.

Using the repellent force of magnetism, the speed of the bullets is rapidly increased after they are shot. Furthermore, the user can also use an attack pattern where the Iron Sand bullets are shaped into sharp needles, increasing their ability to wound or kill the opponent.

Once the person has been magnetized, the user can manipulate the magnetic field in such a manner as to make any subsequent attack using a metallic weapon almost impossible to evade.

Magnetization does not occur automatically, but instead at the will of the user. Additionally, users can also coat their feet, but it is less effective unless they are barefoot.

Hayato lived the first eight years of his life living in a small desert town in Kaze no Kuni. The boy never knew his father and lived with only his mother. He greatly adored his single parent, and they did everything together. From a young age, Hayato was always at his mother's hip. The two were not allotted much time in life together because after the boy's village refused housing bandits they were raided. The tiny town was quickly set ablaze leaving only a few to survive. The remnants of this small town were only children and they wandered the desert for days before being found. A single Izumigakure shinobi happened upon the children and lead them all back to the bustling village. The group of dirtied children were immediately placed in an orphanage.
The shinobi who rescued these children was praised for his services, and even granted a medal by the Kazekage herself. Continually, the Kazekage visited the orphanage to provide the children with words of encouragement. Whether it was favoritism or fate, on her first visit to the orphanage Tsubaki ended up adopting a small eight-year-old named Kazama Hayato. The following years were spent undergoing intensive training and catching up. A decent amount of children were enrolled in the ninja academy as early as six, so Hayato was somewhat of a late bloomer. His age aided him, and he excelled in becoming a genin. Moreover, Izumigakure's focus on intellectual pursuits has helped Hayato guide his intelligence.
